Danielle grew up in Western New York and began dancing at the age of four. She is an honors graduate from The State University of New York at Purchase College where she received her BFA from the Conservatory of Dance and was first introduced to The Pilates Method. Upon graduation, she moved to New York City where she worked with many freelance choreographers and started her own dance group exploring her own choreography. Danielle began teaching modern dance and rehearsing at Peridance Center and performed with her company throughout New York City. In 2002, she completed over 600 hours of teacher training and became certified through Pilates Inc. under the direction of Joseph Pilates' protégé Romana Kyrzanowska as well as Ton Voogt and Michael Fritzke. Danielle began teaching in the New York/Connecticut area continuing her practice through mentors such as Sari Mejia Santo, Bob Leiken and Mejo Wiggin and she later opened her first studio in Norwalk, CT in 2005. Since moving South, Danielle taught in the Charleston area of South Carolina and moved to Florida with her family in 2009. She has taught dance and Pilates throughout South Florida including at the Harid Conservatory, and in 2011 opened Classical Pilates at The Florida School for Dance Education. Shortly after in 2012, Danielle met Lolita San Miguel, one of two people to receive a certificate of certification from Joseph Pilates, and they formed a partnership. In 2014, she completed Lolita's Pilates Master Mentor Program and was selected to teach Lolita's Legacy, a teacher training program developed by Lolita. Inspired by Lolita’s 58 years of Pilates practice, Danielle recently re-named the studio PILATES LIFE, and is proud to be the home of Lolita’s Pilates Center. When she is not at the Pilates Studio you can find her on the soccer fields with her two children Nathan and Amelia.
Lisa Hurst de Faria is a Second Generation Master Instructor and our Studio Coordinator. Lisa was trained in classical and contemporary dance at The Performing Arts School of Worcester, Massachusetts, Boston School of Ballet, and SUNY Purchase. She first developed an interest in Pilates while dancing in Europe and obtained her Pilates-based Fundamental Matwork certification from the Pilates Institute of London. She is also a certified instructor of Polestar Pilates® and most currently completed Lolita San Miguel's Master Mentor Program. Lisa teaches Equipment Classes on Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 8:30 am, and is available for Private Sessions at our North location by appointment.
Abigail grew up in Indiana where she was introduced to Pilates through her dance training and fell in love from the beginning. While studying Dance and Exercise Science at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Abigail was encouraged to pursue Pilates teacher training by one of her dance professors. She completed the Lolita’s Legacy™ teacher training program under the mentorship of Danielle Armstrong. After college, she decided to further her training by applying to Pilates Master and Elder Lolita San Miguel’s Pilates Master Mentoring Program. Upon being accepted into and starting the program, Abigail decided to move back to south Florida where she is excited to be teaching Pilates and sharing her love of movement with her clients. Abigail teaches Pilates Life Mat & Equipment classes at Mirasol Fitness Center and at our North location, and is available for Private Sessions at both our North and South locations by appointment.
Laura earned the title Master Instructor from Pilates Elder, Lolita San Miguel. She is also an approved instructor of the Lolita’s Legacy™ teacher training program. In addition to her Pilates expertise, Laura is certified in Gyrotonic®and Group Fitness, and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer. Best known for her high energy, and ability to cater any exercise to fit the client's needs, you can expect a great workout physically and mentally discovering muscles you didn't even know you had. Laura teaches Mat Classes and is available for Private Sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at our North and South locations by appointment.
Teresa has devoted her career to helping others in a variety of different ways. From a career as a social worker to registered nurse and now the most rewarding of all, certified Lolita’s Legacy™ Pilates Instructor. Having a life centered around movement from dancing, a year in Italy mastering yoga, and more than 15 years practicing Pilates, she was drawn to making this career transition. After taking class with Teresa you’ll notice your posture improve, better balance, and aches and pains gone because she invests herself in keeping people happy and motivated. Teresa teaches Pilates Life Equipment Classes at Mirasol Fitness Center, and is available for Private Sessions at our North location by appointment.
Veoletta is a Balanced Body certified Pilates instructor, dance conditioning specialist, and mom to her son, Emory. She earned an MFA in Dance from Florida State University with an additional emphasis in Dance Science and holds a B.S. in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy with a Minor in Dance from Duke University. Prior to returning to graduate school, Veoletta worked as an administrative assistant to an orthopedic spine surgeon in her hometown of Tampa, FL. Her love of anatomy and dance eventually led her to FSU where she was introduced to Pilates and experienced its transformative effects. At FSU, she worked as a graduate assistant teaching Pilates Mat and Reformer, conducting dance science research, and helping condition and rehabilitate dancers while teaching at a local Pilates studio during her spare time. Veoletta is currently expanding her depth of knowledge through Lolita San Miguel’s comprehensive teacher training program, Lolita’s Legacy™. She is always willing to learn and is excited to use her knowledge to help people become the healthiest version of themselves through Pilates. Veoletta is available for Private Sessions at our North and South locations by appointment.
Julia was born and raised in sunny South Florida and fell in love with fitness at a young age. After graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a B.S. in Psychology, she moved to Thailand to teach English for a year. Her travels through Asia deepened her knowledge and interest in yoga and fitness. Upon her return to the States in 2014, she decided to combine her love of teaching and her passion for exercise into a career as a Pilates Instructor. After completing her certifications through Power Pilates and Yoga Alliance, she now happily spends her days sharing these passions with others. Julia has been with Pilates Life for two years. She teaches challenging Level 2/3 Equipment Classes on Thursdays at 8:30 am, and is available for Private Sessions at our North location by appointment.
Dani is a classically trained dancer, and began practicing the Pilates Method while earning her BFA in dance from Florida State University as a part of her dance curriculum. After continuing her dance training for two summers with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and participating in Pilates classes as a part of her dance intensive, she returned to Florida with a new passion and began preparing for a Pilates certification program. Dani is one of the first students to graduate from Lolita’s Legacy™ teacher training program. In addition to teaching Pilates, she teaches dance and performs throughout Palm Beach County. Dani teaches Mat and Equipment Classes and is available for Private sessions at our North location on Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment.
Nicole has had a passion for movement since age three when she put on her first pair of ballet slippers. This passion drove her to Valencia College graduating as a Dance Performance Major. After college, Nicole danced with American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet in New York City, and Orlando Ballet. While in New York, Nicole regularly practiced Pilates to stay strong while dancing. Upon returning to Florida, she made the natural transition of dancer to teacher and sought out Danielle Armstrong for a deeper Pilates education and certification. Nicole is a certified Lolita’s Legacy™ Pilates Instructor, teaches Pilates Body Sculpt Equipment Classes on Mondays and Fridays, Pilates Life Equipment Classes at Mirasol Fitness Center, and is available for Private Sessions at our North location by appointment.

Christine Migoya holds an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences. She worked as an Administrative Assistant and IT Specialist for McKinsey & Company, Inc. in Stamford, Connecticut. Since moving to South Florida, she has been an active volunteer in Palm Beach County Schools, serving as PTO President of a local elementary school for four years. Following a neck injury, Christine developed a love for Pilates and its benefits. She became our Business Manager in October 2019, is co-owner of an event planning business, and busy mom of two. Christine is located at the North studio to help you with MINDBODY scheduling, account purchases and more.
Sara has had a lifetime appreciation for movement and for the body's ability to heal once we commit to self care. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Florida in Fine Arts, is a former aerialist/dancer for Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey's Circus and Cirque du Soleil. As a Ballet instructor, she has rehabilitated and educated dancers on how to prolong their careers. Her love for the arts, body awareness and an injury to her lower back, led her to the intelligence of the Pilates Method. Sara is near completion of her Lolita’s Legacy™ Pilates Instructor certification, teaches Pilates Life Equipment Classes at Mirasol Fitness Center, and is available for Private Sessions at our North location by appointment.
A former professional ballet dancer, Yuan is a certified Pilates instructor through Core Dynamics Pilates, and a Second-Generation Pilates Master Instructor under Lolita San Miguel. Yuan has taught rehabilitation exercises and Pilates as a physical-therapy aide. In addition, she has served as a volunteer Pilates instructor for the Heroes in Motion program at the San Diego Navy Medical Center. Her unique combination of training and experience, as well as her dedication to her clients and warm, motivating personality, equip her to promote health, beauty, and functionality through teaching the Pilates Method. Yuan teaches Level 2/3 Equipment Classes on Tuesdays at 8:30 am, and is available for Private Sessions at our North location by appointment.
